Abstract

Adamovych S.V. The Upper-Dnieper political emigration in the social-political life of the Western Ukrainian land (1914-1918). The dissertation on competition for a scientific degree of the candidate of Historical Sciences in the specialization 07.00.01 – History of Ukraine. – Chernivtsi National University named after Yuri Fed’kovych. – Chernivtsi, 2003. The evolution of the ideological backgrounds of the Upper-Dnieper political emigration in Austro-Hungarian Empire on the eve of the World War I and during all those years, motives, motion and consequences of the struggle for power and ideological opposition between the emigrants in 1914-1918. The complex analyse relationship between the representatives Upper-Dnieper population and the Main Ukrainian Rada, General Ukrainian Rada, Ukrainian parties of Halychyna and Bucovyna have been investigated in the thesis. The role of the Union for Liberation of Ukraine in creation and activity of the Ukrainian Sichovym striletstvom, relationship between the emigration and social political cultural region organizations has been realized. The influence of the Upper-Dnieper population in Volyn, Kholmshchynu, Pidliaschia has been exposed. The author threw light upon the politemigrants publishing activity in the national-spiritual life of the Western Ukrainian lands
