Abstract: The purpose of the study: to assess the impact of the training programme of tourism and local history of out-ofschool education on the psycho-physiological state of young people aged 11-12 years. Materials and methods: According to the set goal, we selected generally accepted and approved modern methods of organizing scientific research, the long-term use of which in the practice of pedagogy, psychology, physical education and sports confirmed their informativeness and adequacy. Results of the study: A statistically significant difference (p <0.05; p <0.01) is observed in indicators characterizing the functional state of the cardiovascular and respiratory systems, in particular, the heart rate at rest, lung capacity, and Ruffier index. Significant positive dynamics is observed in indicators characterizing cognitive functions, in particular, the short-term memory capacity (p <0.01), the volume of the processed information (p <0.01). The results of visual-motor reactions also had significant changes (p <0.01) in both age groups. Conclusions: Taking into account the analysis of the obtained results, we can conclude that the training programme of the tourism and local history of out-of-school education has a positive effect on the morpho-functional state, cognitive functions, and individual motor qualities.
