| Abstract: | Adamovych S. Inter-ethnic situation in Ukraine before the All-Ukrainian referendum December 1, 1991. The inter-ethnic relations in Ukraine before the All-Ukrainian referendum December 1, 1991 are analyzed in the article. The author argues that support of independence on the referendum was largely caused by the tolerant attitude of the Ukrainian representatives to other nationalities and balanced approach of state power in the national question. The adoption of the Declaration of Rights of Nationalities November 1, 1991 provided a full guarantee of national minorities and led to the increase of the number of supporters of independence |
