Abstract

The article substantiates the view that in modern postmodern historical paradigms there is a tendency to move away from metanarratives and increasingly focus attention on micro-historical plots. Within the framework of such approaches, the history of the cities that were in the grip of the latest russian occupation and the related war crimes of rashism against Ukrainians can be an important direction. Taking into account the historical experience of the occupation regimes of the regions of Ukraine and their cities as key centers of socio-cultural, political and socio-economic life is an urgent task, without which the coverage of the nation-building process will be incomplete and will remain locked within the framework of primordialism and exclusive ethnic history.
