Abstract: Adamovych S. Ukrainian historiography about russian occupational power in Eastern Halychyna within 1914-1917. In this article the author analyzed researches of Ukrainian scholars, which concern activity of Russian occupation administration in eastern Halychyna within 1914-1917. In his opinion, nowadays three periods of occupation of the region by Russians are studied enough as well as repressive politics of Russian power towards Ukrainian intelligentsia, Greek Catholic Church, national minorities, Russification policy are analyzed enough. At the same time contemporary historians consider dominative paradigm in historiography about lack of qualification of personnel of the Russian administration and they focus more on studying of providing Russian employees with the needs of the Russian army. The author, in addition, emphasizes on the fact that activity of Russian occupation regime in eastern Halychyna within 1914-1917 in the context of relations between organs of local administrations with population, activity of law enforcement and jury structures and behavior of Russian military units in the region are not fully disclosed
