Abstract: Blockchain acts as a transparent technology against an unauthorized access via the social and smart contract systems. Higher educational institutions can use the blockchain technology to various academic activities, for example, for administration of online curses. Almost every field of teaching and learning has the potential to benefit from the blockchain technology. Also, the blockchain solves the problem of fraud in general thanks to its properties such as decentralization, coordination, ability to act as a global system, etc.
